Okay, I'm posting on behalf of my father who's having some trouble with Address Book.
I set up a new folder with a group name. I then copied and pasted the emails one at a time into the "email" field of a new V card, hit the "+" to bring up a new vcard and continued adding new emails. The folder was at around 2600 emails, when I added the next one and hit "+" the colored disk spun for a while and then all the emails dissapeared. In the address book support area of the hard drive, changing the name of files to AddressBook.data didn't recover the emails.
Any help?
PS: By address book support area he means Users/user_name/Library/Application Support/ Address Book
