Hi all,

I installed OS X 10.5 Leopard originally using a 10.5 DVD. However, I ended up losing the DVD and so I bought a new one which turned out to be a 10.5.1 DVD.

The problem is that under Optional Installs, you can normally "Upgrade" (i.e. reinstall) any drivers or applications that you installed previously. I want to do this, but because I am using the 10.5.1 DVD with an installation that was done originally with a 10.5 DVD, *all* of these boxes are grayed out, thus not allowing me to reinstall anything that was previously installed.

I was wondering if anyone knew what file needed to be removed to tell OS X that, say, the Epson printer drivers are not installed. I removed the receipts file (/Library/Receipts/boms/com.apple.pkg.EpsonPrinterDrivers.bom) but that didn't seem to work. I know that the Gutenprint uninstaller has some way of doing this, but I'm not sure how they do it.

Thanks much in advance.

Never mind, figured it out. For anyone who's interested, it's in /Library/Receipts/db/a.receiptdb.
