Mac OSX Tiger/iPhoto question....

I just installed Tiger last night and I noticed
today that iPhoto or iMovie is not
installed. Arent they
supposed to be a part of the install?
I need iPhoto BADDDDD ( or a free alternative program).
Help!

iPhoto and iMovie are part of iLife. They are only included with OS X if you are using the disc that came with your computer to reinstall the OS and software. If you used a Tiger standalone disc, you'll need to use your computer's original OS X disc to install iLife. You can also purchase iLife '08 for $79 if you want the new version or don't have the original installation media.
