I had a macbook pro before this and just bought a macbook. My problem is that I have very important files which I backed up onto my external through time machine which I cannot access those files on this macbook through time machine. I opened the hard drive where all my backups were and seems like there is a separate folder for backups for my macbook pro and macbook. Any one know a solution to be able to use time machine with my new macbook to access files I backed up through time machine on my macbook pro? Thanks in advance.
