hello
In leopard, when i do things such as drag a file to Applications or put something in the trash, I am constantly having to type my password even though I am the administrator and the only account on the computer. This is really annoying. how do i turn all this off?

also when i open a downloaded app it askes me if i really want to open it because it was downloaded from the internet. how do i make this stop as well?

thanks

I don't know about dragging to the apps folder.

Finder->Preferences->Advanced->Show warning... for the Trash

There is no way without Terminal to make the downloaded apps thing stop, and that did not work for me

Hopefully 10.5.2 will bring more options.

There's no authentication needed for me when I drag a new app to my apps folder on 10.5.1. Are you absolutely sure you're running an admin account? Or maybe you have parental controls turned on.

if it helps it only does the application folder thing when i drag a file from a disk image or something. forgot to say that.

psycho what was the terminal code? maybe i could try that and see if it works
