I am trying to print to an HP printer using an IP address.
I think I have configured this properly, using the correct drivers.
HOwever, I don't think IP is sending the traffic to the correct TCP port.
When I scan ports for the printer, it finds 515(I think) as the printer port.
When I print to the printer it is using a port in the 6xx.s Can
someone suggest how I can change the port it is trying to use?
I guess I am trying to use the wrong protocol.
The printer is an HP 4000 laser jet.
I am using cups or gunter (sp) print as the driver. I have downloaded
the current HP driver, but I'm not exactly sure If I am using the one
I downloaded as I'm not sure where it is located.
Any advice would be appreciated.
Regards,
Barry

Are you using Leopard? You're going to need to enable browsing for CUPS.

...
The printer is an HP 4000 laser jet.
...Have you ever setup a printer on MacOS X before? The driver for your printer should be preinstalled on your computer.
