I decided to do some testing of the GUI before and after the 10.5.2 update. After the update, I selected the option to make the title bar opaque. I also checked one screenshot on a dialog box to see if the increase in opacity was extended to that aspect of the GUI; it wasn't.
Here's shots of the finder, before and after the update. I was surprised that the same menu was more compact horizontally in the update. Have others noticed this?

Here's shots of a dialog box. I'm pretty sure there's very little, if any, difference.

And finally - and here you can really see the difference - a menu in GraphicConverter over a photo.
