Hi guys. I am trying to backup my copy of the Matrix Reloaded on my new PB and am curious what I need to do after using DVDbackup and DVD20neX. I know that I am supposed to used Toast 6 to burn it, but I am not clear on what files to burn. I am sending the files from DVD2OneX to a folder I labeled OUT. What I need to know is from there what do I drag over to Toast to burn under DVD. Thanks.

Create a folder called MATRIX_RELOADED

Put the entire VIDEO_TS folder that you created with DVD2onex in the MATRIX_RELOADED folder.

Then, create a folder in the MATRIX_RELOADED folder called AUDIO_TS

Leave it empty.

Now open Toast 6. Select DATA from the top tabs, and on the left tray, choose the ADVANCED tab and check DVD-ROM (UDF)

Now drag you MATRIX_RELOADED folder into Toast Delete any other folders that it creates like Desktop_DB, so that all you have left is the AUDIO_TS folder and VIDEO_TS folder. Click burn.

How do you do it if the file is over 4.7 gig?

Why would you need to make a "backup" copy of your own movie DVD???

so the kids can scratch the copy to bits like they do to the origanals

The best thing to do is read the help file that comes with DVD2one. It includes a link to a utility that creates the final disk image straight from DVD2one.

You then simply open disk utility in your utilities folder, choose burn image, select the DVD image on your desktop and burn it.
It's much easier this way and you don't have to mess around with toast.

PS The help file is accessed via the help menu !
