AOL UK announces MAC OS X client

More glad news for OS X , here it is :

"The surprise announcement is a change of heart on behalf of the company, which suspended development of its Mac OS X client in November 2001, explaining that it could not justify the development expense at that time. "

Why the change of heart? Matt Peacock, chief communications officer at AOL UK, explained: "We said we'd watch the market - and it's moved. Mac OS X is taking off, it's moving very quickly through Apple's user base. It's happened."

Finally. Mind you, i'm sure that most people with AOL and osx have already downloaded the client from the US web site :p Now though they'll actually get tech support from aol (for what that's worth...)

Where is the os x client for aol? I didn't know it would out yet. I know they have AIM for os x, but not the actual aol software.

why are you still using AOL??

I use AOL because it's one of the cheapest, and doesn't cut you off after 2 hours...... like many ISP's in the UK......

Although in my opinion AOL suck.... and I can't wait to get ADSL when I eventually move into my flat....... :D

Although AOL is handy in the fact that I can go to anyones house and not have to worry about giving them a huge phone bill...... :p so it does have some uses......

The UK is so far behind interms of deploying Broadband... we make some underdeveloped countries look hi-Tech.......

It's all BT's fault.... they ******** up bigtime..... :rolleyes: :( :mad:
