Hello all.

I am starting to get very worried about a problem i have had recently with my macbook core 2 duo 1.83Ghz.

I installed a couple of updates last week (Airport and time machine, and a security one) and ever since then i have not been able to boot it. It gets stuck on the Apple logo screen with the little spinning disk. It's very ANNOYING!

Surely not a hard drive faliure?
I've already tried booting whilst holding the option key and it still recognises the hard drive. I've also tried resetting the PRAM, but that didn't work either. :(

I'm only 15 and have no other options as far as money is concerned. Please help me!

Thanks.

Hi,

there is a very handy, guide on exactly that issue (Mac won't start)

http://www.creativetechs.com/iq/my_mac_wont_start.html (scroll down for the regular pdf)

Hope this helps.

Try holding down V as your Macbook starts up. Are you getting any errors?

Thanks. I'll try some stuff tomorrow. I'm currently unable to do so.
