dvd backup in Quicktime?

Hey all, I was just curious. I wanted to use a clip from a dvd in my keynote presentation and realized I would need to export it into quicktime to use it. Does anyone know how to export dvd files to quicktime?? thanks for any help.

if you get osex to rip the dvd, openshiva will turn it into an .mp4
