I have heard a lot of griping about fontbook. I am going to have about 200 fonts to manage, what should I use?

SuitCase was the standard. I don't really like it - much prefer fontbook!

but that wont disable the fonts, it only says it does....

Didn't even try fontbook, considering there's no auto activation.

Suitcase is the lesser of two evils.

After my upgrade to panther, I decided not to reinstall suitcase, I never found it to work correctly and it caused more issues then what it was worth. I have been using FontBook and love it, ai and ps work great with it, no complaints, I will report back once I have more of my fonts installed and have to do some shuffling.... well... one complaint, I tried to resolve a font conflict and it seemed to take for ever... otherwise all is well.

I add them manually to my fonts directory for now. I've tried adding the font files using FontBook, but after a week, they're missing.

I suspect that I'm just going to write my own GUI application to handle moving them in and out. There won't be any auto-activation, but it's better than trusting FontBook at this point.
