iTunes problem

im on Mac OS X 10.2.8 and iTunes seems to crash when i try putting in a new song or when it comes across a song in the library that is no longer on any ofmy disks...

does anyone know how to fix this problem?

there's a few different things that could be going wrong here. Have you tried repairing permissions? (applications/utilities/disk utility).
