So i was wondering if there is a way to create your own fonts. I was interested in making a font out of my own handwriting. Any ideas?

There are ways to do this. I am looking into this myself, and found the links here (http://developer.apple.com/textfonts/Fonttools/Index.html) useful.

A few companies will do this for you for a few hundred bucks. Can't remember any of their names... maybe use Google to check it out?

If you look at the link I gave, that's exactly what happens. You scan it in, edit it a bit if you want, and download it.

Humm, my only thought would be that an e before an r would be different then before an f or something... don't know about you but it definitely would be for me anyway...
