Works spreadsheets?

Does anyone know if Microsoft Works spreadsheets are useable on a Mac? Can AppleWorks or Office v.X read them? I couldn't read it in Excel...any ideas? Trying to do it in Panther on an new iMac.

:confused: Use MacLink Deluxe (http://www.dataviz.com/products/maclinkplus/index.html) to convert them.

Thanks...$80, eh? Not sure that's worth it for the person who's looking to do it, but nice to know that's an option.
