help! windows cd not even booting!

my first gen alu imac installed win xp sp2 flawlessly,
now the new april 08 imac reboots to setup windows
but all thats happening is a black screen with a flashing _.
however, installing windows from within vmware works.
but that partition cannot be booted, right?
or is it possible to create the win partition from within osx?
i'm seriously in trouble here!

I had this same issue on my imac. Sampsons mash the keyboard tip worked flawlessly for it.

after a few tries this method worked for me
