I often need to do apple demonstrations on my personal Macbook. I have created a separate user account that has demo content such as email, photos, documents, etc. However, on this account it shows all my applications in the applications folder. I only want to see the factory pre-installed applications.
1. Is there a way to hide applications on another user account?
Next issue, typically on my machines that I use for demo purposes only I partition the hard drive and setup the partition for time machine. I have a script that will setup and emulate a 3 month time machine backup and then turn time machine off. However, on my personal machine I backup using a Time Capsule. I want to be able to log in under demo user and click time machine and have it bring up backups on partitioned drive. When I am logged in under my personal account I want it to bring up time machine backups from my Time Capsule.
2. How do I maintain my ongoing personal backups at home but still be able to demo time machine with my demo user account and partitioned hard drive when I am away from home?
