What is "mach_kernel.ctfsys"? [Archive]

I only see it on the Dock when I look in my Macintosh HD folder.

Does anyone know what this is?

Sorry, I did a Google search for it. And couldn't find anything, so I assumed it hadn't been discussed on forums.
