iSight applications

I am looking applications other that iChatAV to capture images with the iSight. I do astrophotography, and the iSight would be great for planatary imaging. I have tried to use the import utillity in PhotoShop. but the drivers for the iSight are not usable by Photoshop. any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have heard of an appication called EvoCam. has anyone here used this and would it do what I need?
