Can anyone confirm if Microsoft Encarta works well enough on a Mac with VPC installed, or if not is there a Mac alternative that could be recommended?

i don't know about vpc. I use WorldBook Encyclopedia that is pre-loaded on iMac's and iBooks. Great program.
