Is raiding on a Macbook possible? (WoW)

Hey guys I'm getting a new laptop for college, but I'm torn between a Macbook and a Dell XPS M1530. It seems the XPS specs may be better than a MPB, but it's priced along with the higher end Macbook. I'm just wondering if theres any WoW raiders here, and how well it runs on a Macbook. (2.4GHz, 2GB RAM)

Your post is confusing. Once you refer to macbook, another to macbook pro. Macbook Pro would run great. It would run ok on a macbook.

Refurb MacBook Pro with full 1 year warranty can be bought for price of higher end MacBook.

Performance-wise, how would WoW be on a Blackbook with 4GB RAM? I'm not looking to buy a gaming computer really, but I would like to play WoW occasionally. I understand that it is possible to get a refurb Pro for around the same price as a high end Macbook, but I'm looking to take advantage of the back to school promotion too :o

For occasional use, it would run just fine. If it was your life and you played it 8 hours a day like some people I used to know, you'd want something with dedicated VRAM.

Ah, thanks for that. I usually only play for an hour or so at a time, and my iMac suits my needs for that perfectly, but I wouldn't mind having it installed on a Macbook as well so I could play it in the same room as my brother (I refuse to use TeamSpeak or something similar just to talk to my brother while playing WoW, he's in the same house!) instead of having to move my iMac back and forth. It sounds like the Macbook will do that just fine.

Though I suppose moving the iMac is easier than moving his monstrous PC! :p
