in ical, i have 2 events scheduled for a given day. Then i sync to ical. If i change the location of the event in ical, and then sync it to my ipod, it wil show both the old version and the new version of the event on my ipod. Sometimes, i see the same event up to 3 times on my ipod! The whole thing is useless if i cant look at my day clearly! does anyone know why this would be? i have the latest ical, isync, ipod 1.3, and 10.2.8 installed already. Any help appriciated!
P.S. I already re installed ical and deleted and then resynched the calenders on my ipod.

have you tried the Apple Knowledge Base yet?

I have noticed the same thing, and it gets worse the more often you change an appointment or if you use repeating appointments.
I have tried various things to "clean up" the synced version, such as delinking the iPod and then syncing again. I also tried the reset all devices option in iSync, but it didn't get past the first dialog box.
I then tried sneakier things like deleting the synced files in the iPod itself and then resynchronising, but it just came back with the same old mess.
I am kind of resigned to this all, because my experience of syncing software over the years has been pretty crappy. The software for syncing the Newton (at least the PC version) was a dog, and my Ericsson T39 had a terminal meltdown earlier this year when I used iSync with it.

why don't you just go into the calender folder in the iPod, trash the file, then sync again? yeah, it's annoying, and it's a problem that needs to be fixed, but that'd make it work.

I tried that, but it didn't seem to work. I'll try it again and let you know the result.

I tried doing that too, but to no avail.

Dear Redapple,
Like the posting says, I'm new at all this. How would I go about reporting this problem to Apple?
Thanks

Do you mean reset in iSync or just rebooting the iPod? I didn't think rebooting the iPod affected the data in it.
