I'm am wanting to try either of these two browsers:

Links or Lynx

Links needed 3 files to work, they were;libiconv-2.0.4pkg, ncurses-5.2pkg and gettext-0.10.39.pkg

I ran the installer on these then installed Links.pkg and Lynx.pkg

What do i do now? I have nearly no experience with the command line, i was expecting an icon to click or somthing but i cannot find anything of what i have installed.

I'm running Panther 10.3.1 btw with out dev tools or X11. But i was told i didn't need these in order for them to run.

Anybody else use these browsers and fancy helping me out?

if those packages installed the programs properly, you should just be able to type "links" or "lynx" in the terminal and have it open up.

I only ever used these browsers on Linux when I didn't have an X-server set up (or it was crashing) - they're text only browsers you see.

The same happened to me, to access lynx.

You must first load the Terminal, then type the following: /usr/local/bin/lynx followed by any desired url.

Have fun!

try typing:

whereis lynx

or

whereis links

and see what comes up.
