Hi everyone...

This is what I would like to do..

Using Boot Camp I would like install Windows Vista..

The only problem is it is an upgrade disk not a full version.. Now before you can say not possible I have managed to install it to a clean Hard Drive partition on my PC by inserting a previous upgrade disc of Windows XP...

Is this possible on the Mac?

Thanks in advance!

Bryan

This is possible, though I've never tried it on a Mac. Just Google 'using upgrade version of vista for full install' and check out the first link. It has step-by-step instructions. This should work.

Thank you!

Looks like I'll be able to do it the exact same way I did on my PC

Yes, inspite of advice given by others to only do a clean install, I have installed Vista using an upgrade version of home premium into boot camp. As described earlier in this thread, you run 2 installs, one after the other and it ran with no problems. Activation was easy and the SP1 upgrade also ran with no issues.

Give it a try.
