I've compiled the sources and struggled with my config file (if anyone has info on setting up kismet.conf for an airport 802.11b w/ viha drivers I'd gladly listen.) Anyway, every time I run ./kismet as su'd root my powerbook has a kernel panic. This has only happened after I have commented out the part of the config file that deals with 802.11a channels. Perhaps I should comment out the 802.11g part...?

Why not download a Mac specific version: http://www.binaervarianz.de/projekte/programmieren/kismac/
It's even GUI based!

Um yes, kisMAC would be great, but it too kernel panics my PB. I've also had limited sucess with getting my airport card working after quitting it. It's a great program but it needs to be more stable.
So does anyone have advice?
