well, my xbox 360 just broke and I need to send it in for repairs. I've played all of my wii games and now I'm just bored. so, while my box is getting fixed can anyone point me to some fun racing or shooting games that can be played on a 700mhz imac g3 with 10.3.9 installed. or any fun windows games would be appreciated too.
thanks-
Tie

You're in luck, you can get 2 mega awesome games; Mario Kart Wii and Cave Story (Mac version). Bon appetite!

I know you're looking for racing/shooting games, but just to throw it out there, anything from Blizzard would run great on your iMac (except maybe WOW), and are the most addicting games I've ever played. (Starcraft, Warcraft 3, and Diablo 2, personally.)

Also, does anyone know if the Medal of Honor series would run on that machine? Those were always fun too. :)

Enjoy! :D

I always loved Descent. Not to impressive to look at, especially looking back at it now, but it was certainly fun to play.

Mario kart wii is probably one of the best wii titles, at least in my collection. I was pretty dissapointed with the other ones we have, but mario kart was great. I've always loved the mario karts, and the wii one is the perfect blend of new wii features and adding old courses. They did some new things and gave back some features I missed from the first one. So anyways, I highly recommend it

sorry dude. I hate strategy games. especially wartime and rpg. I guess I have bad tastes in games but they are my tastes, and I can't change that.

I bet World of Padman, with details turned low, would run. (Nice shooter with bot or human opponents.) Anyway, it's a free download:

I used to play Descent 3 and the original Unreal Tournament on a G3--but they'd need OS 9 for best results.

Unreal Tournament, but you'll need Mac OS 9 for that to run smoothly.

I bought that game when I had my G4 iMac (800Mhz) and to be honest, it just managed it so I wouldn't be confident of it running well on a G3 iMac. Has anyone suggested Quake 3? That was OK on older machines...

Ah yes, Aliens vs. Predator! Definitely would be near the top of my list. Runs in OS X and creates the experience of being all 3 races very realistically. Plus, scarier than Doom 3 :)
