This may be old news, but I have a person on my buddy list who is on a windows pc using the new AIM for windows. The interesting thing is that an audio icon shows up next to his name on my buddy list. However, it is grayed out, though I am able to right click on the icon. This seems like a major indication that iChat AV / iSight will be compatible with windows (at least on AIM) shortly.
I have screenshot available if someone can host it for me.

I too have seen the same thing. I didn't have a chance to try it, so Im not sure if it even attempts to connect.

I just tried it with a friend using the new AIM client, and even though you click the microphone it does nothing. Doesn't even attempt to connect.

the new version of AIM is apparently not going to support iChatAV's video ability... am I the only one that thinks this is ridiculous...?

Same thing at home. Talked to the person using it and it's the beta of AIM and he has the voice/webcam turned off :)
maybe it's a new feature MWSF!

i read somewhere that Aim is going to be using a different protocol or something to iChatAV rendering it incompatible.
