Hi dear Macers :)
I'm a native Mac user, and I need to connect a Mac OS8.5 with a PC windows98, to share the printer connected to the PC, as well as some files.
I tryed to configure the mac without success, let me know what should I do to reach my small objectif
thank you before.
kindly.

It can't be done. OS 8.5 does not have any Windows network connectivity built in. There were some 3rd party software companies that did provide Windows networking capability, but I'm sure they're long gone since that ability is now integrated into OS X.

Well, if you had OS 8.6 you could use Thursby's Dave:

8.6 is a free upgrade IIRC.

It'd probably be cheaper and easier to just buy another printer.

Not necessaraly. It costs $99 to buy Dave on the internet, so unless he buys a low quality printer, software would be the cheaper solution.:)
