HELP, dockextender messed up my computer

i just purchased the MacAddict Mac Handbook which has a bunch of programs on disc. i installed Dockextender and it totally messed up my computer account. first of all my dock disappeared and i cant get it back. if i go to the dock preferences and change the settings it always reverts back to 'position on screen bottom'. also when i try logging on AOL, it always freezes. on top of that everything seems to be running much slower. This is on my main admin account. everything seems to be fine on my other accounts which is what i am on right now. any help would be much appreciated.

You should talk to the developers.

Any time you use customisations/hacks, you should follow the requirements closely. A minor operating system upgrade can stop them from working correctly since they're using illegal calls to make their products work.

it should be fine if i reinstall the OS right?
