Hardware mixer for volume levels?

Is there, or will there be, any type of mixing board that will control the levels in GB, or even Final Cut Pro for that matter.

Doing the levels on the fly using the mouse is okay, but couldn't a small mixer give input into the software to control the levels?

Maybe apple could sell this next, and have it work in FCP as well.

If the Software is accepting MIDI events you could use a cheapo MIDI keyboard that has actual knobs to send MIDI events...
