I live in the US. I just bought Spore (reg version) from a nearby store, and after installing it, while trying to register it, It brings up an error message saying (".....cannot connect to license server...."), after some search I have two questions:
1. I seem to have found one solution, which requires the editing of the hosts file, and I was wondering if that was safe.
2. If that is not safe, are there any other ways to do it?
