I'm rebuilding Steve's Demo here - i was able to identify "Classic Rock Steel 02" (8 bars), "Woody Latin Bass 01" (8 bars), "Delicate Piano 18" (first 4 bars), "Classic Rock Steel 04" (first 4 bars), "Funky Electric Guitar 03" (last 4 bars), "Latin Horn Slabs 01" (last 4 bars) and "RnB Horn Section 05" (last 4 bars). What i just can't find ist the "percussion" sample he uses (it's for sure not in "percussion", Steve, and i can't find it in "drums" either!) which he got from his favourites and the Strings sample he puts on the last bar at the very end of the demo!

Any Clues?...

...not that a track with 5 Software-Instruments and 4 Sample-Tracks would play on my iBook G4 800 with 256MB stock-RAM, but i just might be able to export it as an mp3! ;-) Here's me hoping that adding some RAM solves a few things, looking at GB's RAM-Usage (Activity Monitor) certainly suggests so (nothing running and almost no physical RAM left!)..

I also notice the chorus sound instrument he demo'd isn't in Garageband either. Actually I was pretty shocked at how few software instruments it had. I guess thats what the extra $99 addin pack is for.

Steve said "over 50" repeatedly. I counted them, they're exactly 65! Hence even if they said "over 60" it wouldn't justify such a reaction!

Do you complain that your newbought amp "only" has 650 Watts when it was clearly advertised with 500?

Percussion Combo 2 sounds mildly like the percussion thing, but I'm not for sure. It can be found in drum kits.
