Bf2, Bf2142?

For those who have played both.. which game has more players?

I own BF2142, and I see only about 100 populated servers. I was thinking about getting BF2, but I don't want to get it if not many players are playing it anymore.

I play BF2 all the time. There are still a lot of servers and the game is only $10 now. 2142 is too much like Halo with the energy weapons. Im not sure how many servers there are. I only play infantry only maps and there are alway a lot of servers.
