MS Paint for the Mac?

Does anyone know of a free, relatively simple, image editing/illustrating program? Something like Paint program that is included with Windows.

I know that program kind of sucked, but it did everything I needed it too, and an equivalent would be very handy!

Try the Paint part of AppleWorks, or, if you don't mind Classic, there's a piece of abandonware called Expert Color Paint that absolutely rocked.
