iTunes - Converting from W2K to OSX

I just began using iTunes after receiving an iPod for Christmas. So I've got about 1.5GB of CD's loaded and about 17 songs I've purchased through the iTunes Store. Now that I've got my new iMac, how do I transfer my iTunes files (from my PC) to my Mac?

I'm sure this has been discussed at length, so links to helpful (easy to understand) topics would be great too.

Now, back to the archives...........:D

You just need to move your "iTunes" folder, probably located in "My Music" in "My Documents". Move this folder over to the Mac, and put it in the "Music" folder of your home directory. If there is already a folder there called "iTunes", simply replace it with the one from Windows. That's all there is to it.

Alternatively, mount the Windows drive over the network, then drag your music folder onto the iTunes dock icon.

I sorta figured it should be that simple. Is there something that needs to be done regarding deauthorization?

Yeah if you plan on no longer using the PC for music then you should deauthorize it. It's in the Advanced menu in iTunes.

You can also burn all your music to cds and then copy it to the iMac.
