Hi

I have a canoscan usb2 scanner connected via a pci usb2 card and it is listed in system profiler..

Its listed as...

USB High-Speed Bus:

Vendor Name: Apple Computer, Inc.
Product ID: 32774 ($8006)
Speed: Up to 480 Mb/sec
Bus Power (mA): 500

CanoScan:

Vendor Name: Canon
Speed: Up to 480 Mb/sec
Product ID: 8716 ($220c)
Bus Power (mA): 500

But when I load photoshop and go to Import, the scanner is not there? How can I resolve this issue?

Ive looked on the canoscan site and there are no drivers for mac os although it says it does work..

It is a Canoscan D1250U2F

Many Thanks

You need to get the twain driver for your scanner. OS X does not have any twain drivers built in. You need to go to the canon website and get the driver. Looks for the twain driver not hardware driver. It should have come on a CD with your scanner.

Sorry, went to the website. It looks like your scanner will not work with OSX native. It might work in classic mode though.

Take a look at this compatibility page.
