Still no way to use personal domains for email?

This is pretty much the only thing that's holding me back from going MobileMe exclusive here. Are there any news regarding this at all? Has Apple said anything on the matter?

Nope. Apple believes that you wouldn't want to be seen dead in a personalised email address and that your online aspirations are to have an Apple emblazoned email address.
