I really want to know is it possibile to use QT to view most of the video format? I really don't like VLC that much but... most of the format does not support by QT... what codec do I need to download beside, divx?

There are dozens of "PC" formats (really .avi fomats), most of which QT can handle, a few of which it can't.

Install the DivX and 3ivx plugins in Quicktime. Between the two of those and Apple's standard set, QT can play almost anything (I'd say 90% of what I see). What it can't, you'll have to resort to VLC for.

most of the .avi files that i recieved from newsgoup cannot be view by QT... i have installed divx 5.1 already but i am not sure what codec are being use... VLC does not handle as well as QT, i am running a 12" pb and VLC always skip frames and where as QT is very stable...
