I picked up an old mac plus in mint condition the other day. I am trying to get as many apps I have running now on my imac on the mac plus. Of course I am running older versions like Photoshop 1.0, netscape 1.0 etc. I can't seem to find QuarkXpress 1.0 anywhere though. Does anyone sell super old apps like that still? If not, is it legal to try and get an img file of the floppy? It's from 1987 so I would think it wouldn't matter that much. I just don't know where to find it.

I have been looking for several days now and keep coming up blank. I too would be interested in seeing it. I started on v 2.0. Even your post comes up in my search efforts. I can give you the name of an organization in which there are about 3,000 members you can (I think) submit this question to: www.iaphc.org I am a member at large and Past President of the Adirondack Club. Being a Printing and Graphics oriented Association they may be able to find someone who still has it on a IIsi or something in the basement :>)
PS direct your inquiry to Kevin Keane.

In the meantime I thoguht this was interesting: http://www.gillfoundation.org/about/about_show.htm?doc_id=75988

This looks like an interesting place to find some info, however without being a member I can't seem to look up anyone.

Jethro, there are a few avenues at the IAPHC you can access as a civilian. Since I am a member and know Keven Keane personally, I will throw the question out there for you.

PS other than "cyberspace" what area are you at? Maybe I can find a local club that can help.

What you really need is Aldus PageMaker 1.0. Now that's vintage software. Pagemaker came first! I wish I could help you with disks. Sigh. Threw most of that stuff out ages ago. But this is a really cool project--good luck!

I have excel 1.0. Tried Word 1.0 but got a message saying I needed the original disk as well. I would like to see pagemaker 1.0 at work if I could find it.

I was able to find Netscape 1.0 for 68k. Does anyone know how to get a mac plus online? Is there a converter I can pick up?

Those seem to be pretty hard to find. Anyone want to trade one of those for a hub or something?

I have a G3 (with a G4-500 CPU in it) a IIsi, and a Quadra 650. I could learn something here.

Jethroted, just a PS note, I contacted the IAPHC and told them of your delema (Quark v 1.0). I should probably here back something in the next week or so.

Someone here sent me a copy of quark 1.0. I just wanted to let who ever it was know that it didn't work either. I need the full disk image in order for it to work. Thanks for trying to help though. Does anyone know of any retro software stores that might carry something like this?

Let me know what they have to say about that. I wonder if they will laugh you right out the door. ;)
