I have been running Civilization IV on my G5 PowerPC (OS X 10.4.11) for 4 or 5 months with no problem. Then a few days ago, it stopped working. When I try to start the program, the flashing black triangle appears beneath the Civ icon on the dock to indicate that it is starting up, then disappears after a few seconds. Nothing else happens. The program doesn't start, there is no error message, nothing. I tried reinstalling the program, and the same thing happened. What is going on???

You probably just installed Quicktime 7.6. Aspyr is working on a patch. (http://forums.macrumors.com/showpost.php?p=7030008&postcount=6)

OK, one more question. I deleted Quicktime but I still can't start Civ. What's up with that?

Deleted quicktime?? How? I don't think you can...it's much more than the QT player. You're just going to have to wait for Aspyr's patch. You might be able to use pacifist to install an older version, though: http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=1342677&start=30&tstart=0
