I know that a lot of people have Bootcamp to use Windows on their Mac; however, is there a program similar to Bootcamp that is free?

I just want to run a couple Windows games so paying wouldn't really be worth it for me.

Thanks in advance :)

Boot Camp IS free. Windows is not. You cannot get around this.

Ah, guess I didn't do enough research before posting this, sorry! A site I was on earlier seemed like it was trying to sell it for $70something but I must have been looking at something else...

Also, I don't have Leopard. Is there anyway to get it on a regular OS X?

Leopard IS a regular OS X. :rolleyes::confused:

If you can find the beta for Tiger (ALSO a regular OS X), set your clock back before 12/31/2007 to get it to work.

Check out Darwine.

It is free and allows you to play windows games without installing windows. On the Darwine website there is a list of games that work well with it.

Crossover Games for mac is based on Darwine.

Gah I'm confused. I didn't think I had Leopard since I got this in 2006... obviously I'm more of a Windows user heh.

If you got it in 2006, then you're most likely running Tiger.

Tiger and Leopard are the names of different versions of OS X. Kind of like Windows XP and Vista.

Actually it wouldn't be like windows xp and vista since they are different OS's entirely.

That's just complicating the issue. To the average user, the analogy stands.

Edit: Thinking about it, they aren't. XP evolved into 2003 which evolved into Vista. So indirect, yes, but still largely the same.

Mmm... no, they're not.

yea yea, pirating is stealing ... I don't want to open that discussion again. but since we are here to give this guy some info, why not mention it.

We're also here to follow the forum rules, which you just didn't. Please report your post for self-deletion. :)

If you have a old copy of windows then all you need is a copy of Leopard.

You might want to read the FAQ/Rules made available at the top.
