I got this from Tech TV's Callfor help today-
The same holds true for OS 9 -- just delete the Mac OS 9 System folder.
I try to do it, to delete OS 9, but says system is in use, how do i get past this?
thanx

I would make sure Classic isn't running. You can check this in System Preferences.
Alternatively, if you still have an OS 9 bootable CD and an OS 9 capable machine, then boot off of CD and delete the System folder from the hard disk once booted. Make sure you don't delete your OS X System Folder!!!

I did this recently, I think i had to take the os9 system folder on to the desktop rename it, then restart. then i could delete it.
