Let's start with you stop doing what you keep doing that gets your computer confiscated.
If your parents confiscate your computer, they have good reason.

Start studying; if you spend as much time trying to circumvent your punishments on doing school work, you may be excelling already!

I guess I don't know, but I want the world to be a better place.
And that app does no good when the computer doesn't have battery power left to run.

nvm. this doesn't keep the wifi on. it keeps the whole computer on :-(. it'll fry it when the lid is closed, trapping in the heat.

Why does Apple allow clamshell mode then?

idk what that is. but some of the hot air ventilates up through through the keyboard and can screw up the screen.

Clamshell mode involves using an external monitor and keyboard connected to a notebook with the lid shut.

I doubt that.
Especially on the new unibody MacBooks. They put off no heat, almost. I've left my wifi on using InsomniaX many times overnight.
It's fine.
Why would Apple put in a feature that messes up your screen?
