I have been running vista64 through bootcamp and fusion so that I can run autocad on my late 08 MBP. The only issue I've had is that everytime I boot into vista I have to reactivate my autocad. It doesn't seem to matter whether I go in through bootcamp or fusion. Any suggestions here..?? Its getting really annoying and I'm not sure how long I'll be able to do this...!!! Thanks in advance everyone..

If you run it in both BootCamp and VMware, it's possible the computer thinks you're running it on 2 separate computers since it can't detect your actual hardware in VMware.

Are you saying that you are booting up Vista on a VM Ware install as well as a separate bootcamp install? Or are you booting your bootcamp install via VM Ware and access it both ways?

I installed via bootcamp and then pointed my vmware to that partition. It's really odd that it's doing this.... It's like the computer thinks it's a new machine everytime I boot, no matter which way I get into windows.

Have you stumbled across this forum post at AutoDesk yet? http://discussion.autodesk.com/forums/thread.jspa?threadID=552613

pdeering had some interesting observations about the the clock time being incorrect at startup until it locates a network drive.

I'm working with 4 iMacs with Windows XP via bootcamp and have been unsuccessful with getting AutoCAD 2009 stand alone installation with a 4 user group code to maintaine activation.
