drum fills in garage band?

I see a lot of beats, but no fills. Are they not there, or am I missing something?

You can edit all the loops, so if part of a loop would make a good fill you can use it.

IF the fill isn't that long, you could have a go at making your own through a software instrument and keyboard.

Create a MIDI track. Add two snare hits. Go into the track edit panel (scissors icon) and add/ position a few other drum notes as you see fit.
