I am having trouble connecting to my brother's Mac Mini from my iMac. We are both connected through a wired connection running to my Airport Extreme Base Station (Fast Ethernet).

I can see his Mac Mini in the leopard finder sidebar but I can not connect to him. It just hangs and looks like its trying to connect. Any idea what could be wrong? When I click on the "Connect As" or "Share Screen" buttons, nothing happens.

EDIT: He can mount my computer but I can't his.

Did you try connecting via AFP directly? So command+k, afp://<ip addr> ? Could be something not working with the mDNS...that happens sometime at my house, I just have to connect directly.

Yeah, I've tried AFP and also FTP I think. None will work. But they will work when he connects to me. Do you think it's a problem on my end, or his... or is it just some kind of network problem?

On MIni,
Check firwall setting
Check sharing setting
