Help, I can't get msn messenger to work

I'm running 10.3.3 and msn messenger will never connect. I've tried it day after day with no other apps running. t always says failure to connect or that i'm not connected or something. what can i do?

Get a new client. Microsoft MSN is buggy, slow and bloated. I wouldn't touch it with a barge pole.

Some alternatives are:

Fire (http://fire.sourceforge.net/)
Proteus (http://www.indigofield.com/)

and what I personally use:

aMSN (http://www.cmq.qc.ca/4w/amsn/)

it may not be visually lush but it has a few extras, like display pics (like windows msn), it never crashes and connects to the network without problem.

If after setting up the client and it still won't connect, theres probably a network problem which we could probably find pretty easily.

Anyway download the latest version of MSN from the M$ website, this solved it for me.
