mac os 9.1 update and language kit

I'm trying to update 9.1 (without disc) but I can't because I have language kit files installed...
I've tried to find these files and move them to the desktop to be able to do the update but there still are some apparently so I can't.
Does anyone know if there's a solution other than doing a disc install? (Where could I get that disc anyway?
PS I'm running 9.0.4, which is a downloaded update too, so I don't have a disc for that either...

I borrowed an OS 9 disk from a friend when I upgraded grom OS 8.6 and then downloaded these and just loved OS 9.2.2. I'm not sure what you mean by Language Kit Files. Aren'e these the foriegn language files that are installed with the OS? if so they should not be a problem when upgrading. The upgrades don't erase files, it just updates them, yes?

The language kit comes on the Apple software disc and allows you to read and write other languages such as Japanese for ex..
It is clearly stated in the read me file that from 9.1 languages are managed directly in the OS, language kits are no longer supported and installation must be done via the disc. I thought I could still install the downloaded update and that I would simply not be able to use the language kit, but no: I can simply cannot install! I can only install from disc. So I have to order that crap, pay what, 20$ for it and wait weeks for it to come through the mail...all that just to immediately after install Panther and change 9.1 to 9.2.2...GREAT!
Is my only other option to do a clean install of Panther and forget about 9?

Well do what I did, find a buddy with OS 9 disks and go from there. I wouldn't drop it though, as seemless as Apple want you to believe, I keep my classic environment just as it was and if need be I can boot to it directly (2 different internal Hard Drives). I'm happy.

I'm in South korea right now so it might be difficult.. But you've given me the idea: I'll format my HD and re-install my original OS without the language kit, and from there do all the upgrades until 9.1 . That should do it.
