I'm using Yahoo Messenger for video-chatting with someone on a PC. While we can see each other, we cannot hear. Has anyone expected similar problems? Or does anyone know the ultimate solution for video-chatting between Mac and Windows (ME, not XP)?
Thanks for any help!

Your having the problems, because yahoo messenger on the mac doesnt have voice capabilities. The feature does not exist in the software. I use yahoo messenger too, and find it an excellent app for cross platform communication. Sadly the only two things that niggle at me is not being able to get supercam mode to work my end, and not being able to use voice.
Mind you i cant get my cam to work at all with ichat, but voice is pretty decent. and before people start thinking bandwidth problems. I have a one meg downstream and a 256k upstream connection. I've done several speed tests online with differnt speed checker test and although the upstream does fluctuate, i do get a decent enough tranfer rate for video.

Thank you for the information. Do you know any other way to do video chats (with voice) between Mac and Windows (ME)?

iChat (or AIM) on Mac with AIM on Windows.
Make sure all apps are the latest version.
