This appears to be legal...maybe not - I haven't researched it too much.

Sharing over rendezvous - great for students on higher ed networks.

does it still work in iTunes 4.5??

ps. sharing over the network to other students is not legal. iTunes gives you a message explaining this when you turn sharing on.

iTunes 4.5 breaks 0.92 Leechster compatibility. Man, I hope it's updated before next semester, because I'm planning on running a B&W as a music server and Leechster would be most helpful at getting select music over to my machine for editing and what not. I wish iTunes allowed copying of songs if the user entered the administartor's name and pass.

Oh well, I guess changing my Music folder to ~/Public/iTunes is good enough for me.

Yeah, I guess I meant that streaming is legal - leechster is probably not because it grabs those songs instead. I'm sure it won't take long to circumvent iTunes 4.5. I don't endorse this - just an observation of how long it takes before hackers get around anti-hacking measures.

I had been using leechster because lots of people at my school have itunes sharing turned on. I wish i hadn't upgraded to 4.5. Only a few other people who share have upgraded and now i can't access 4.0 users' music and leechster won't work.
